    I had to read many a film theory and criticism book throughout grad school and this was the most pleasurable to read - bar none. A lot of authors write with such drudgery that their books become a chore to read, but not so with Giannetti. His writing style is remarkably easy to read and his information is easily quotable and understandable. I had this book next to me with each paper I needed to write.
